DENVER — Two Denver-area beer stalwarts have joined forces in a move to be more effective in a changing industry.

Dry Dock Brewing Co. plans to close its 30,000-square-foot production facility and taproom at 2801 Tower Road early next year. The company has tapped Great Divide Brewing Co. to begin brewing its beer and other beverages at its location in Ballpark at 2201 Arapahoe St. by the end of this year.

Great Divide President Brian Dunn and Dry Dock co-founder Kevin DeLange said they had been casually talking for the past year about the challenges they were facing and how their production facilities were being underutilized.

“We both have buildings and production facilities that are large enough to produce all the beer we both need,” said Dry Dock co-founder Kevin DeLange.
