DENVER — A Beach Boys icon is coming back to Colorado.

Beach Boys co-founder Brian Wilson has announced his North American tour, with British pop pioneers The Zombies, will stop at Denver's Paramount Theatre on Friday, September 20, 2019.

Tickets for the Denver concert go on sale Friday, May 19 at 10 a.m. at AltitudeTickets.com or by phone at 303-893-TIXS. Prices range from $50 to $190.

The tour will celebrate music from the late 1960s and early 1970s, according to concert promoter AEG Presents Rocky Mountains.

Wilson will be joined with Al Jardine and Blondie Chaplin on the tour, which kicks off Aug. 31 in Las Vegas, playing selections from Friends and Surf’s Up. The Zombies' lineup will include members Rod Argent, Colin Blunstone, Chris White and Hugh Grundy.

“It’s been quite a year and I’m ready to go out and tour some music that makes everyone have a feel good vibe,” said Brian Wilson. “The Friends album has always been one of my favorites, and I love the music from that time in history. I’m psyched to go out with The Zombies who have some of the best harmonies ever.”

"Pet Sounds is by far my very best album, though my favorite is Friends," added Wilson.
