VIDEO: 2 moose spotted on slopes at Colorado ski resort

A 9NEWS viewer shared video that showed the moose hanging out near a chairlift.

WINTER PARK, Colo. — A couple of four-legged guests found their way onto the slopes at a Colorado ski resort Saturday morning.

9NEWS viewer Kimberly Stroud shared a video that shows two moose standing near the Explorer lift at Winter Park Resort

"Everyone was yelling moose, taking pictures and videos," Stroud said in an email. "Usually we see them roaming around town, not ON the ski runs," she added.

The moose seemed to be minding their own business as the guests enjoyed their day in what Stroud described as "amazing conditions."

A spokesperson for Winter Park said ski patrol advised guests to keep their distance from the animals, as it was the best thing for their own safety and the safety of the moose.

"People sometimes forget that," Public Relations and Communications Manager Jen Miller said.

The resort did not call Colorado Parks and Wildlife to have them relocated as the moose were already in their own habitat, according to Miller.

"This is moose territory we just live and ski in it!!!" Stroud wrote.
