Driver cited for DUI after crashing into Starbucks

A West Metro Fire Rescue spokesperson said the Starbucks had some structural damage. Police said the driver was cited for DUI.

LAKEWOOD, Colo. — A man was cited for driving under the influence after crashing his SUV into a Starbucks in Lakewood. 

The Lakewood Police Department said it happened at around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Starbucks at West 10th Avenue and Wadsworth Boulevard.

No one was seriously injured, according to police, and the driver stayed at the scene. A West Metro Fire Rescue spokesperson said the store had some structural damage.

Police said the driver was cited for DUI.
