Kellogg recalls about 6,300 18-oz. boxes of Corn Flakes

BATTLE CREEK, Michigan (AP) - Kellogg Company is recalling some 18-ounce boxes of Corn Flakes because they contain undeclared milk and wheat. The company says the recall affects about 63-hundred packages with U-P-C codes of 381200. Each has a use-by date of March 31st, 2005, and the number K-L-B 009 stamped on top of the box.

The packages were distributed in stores in the Midwest and western United States. Kellogg officials say no illnesses have been reported but people who have allergies or severe sensitivities to wheat or milk could have life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume the cereal. Kellogg says the problem was uncovered after the company realized another cereal that contains milk and wheat was mistakenly packaged in Corn Flakes boxes.
