More than 400 flights delayed at DIA due to Christmas Eve snow

Travelers should check their flight status before heading to Denver's airport.

DENVER — Dozens of flights were delayed and some were canceled at Denver International Airport due to snow that moved in Saturday night into Christmas Eve.

As of 9:20 p.m. Sunday, there were 417 flights delayed and 37 canceled flights, according to FlightAware.

Affected airlines included Southwest, SkyWest, United and Frontier.

DIA advises all passengers to contact their airline to check their flight status before going to the airport, and to plan extra time for traveling to the airport.
